Between the Trees

Not every landscape needs to be spectacular.

I captured this view during a walk in Liechtenstein and later used my own photograph as the starting point for this painting. The scene itself appeared rather modest and unremarkable in the photo, but I wanted to bring more light, atmosphere, and color into it.

Sometimes beauty is found not only in the landscape itself, but in the way we perceive it. For me, this painting became less a reproduction of what I saw and more an attempt to convey the feeling that stayed with me after visiting this place.
