Koknese, Oktober, Lettland
In this picture I wanted to generalize my native nature, creating a romantic mood by sharing it national characteristics.
Despite the daily routine and the familiarity of plots in today’s paintings, here the gaze should be somewhat different, poetic.
Using bright, rich colours and tones, at first glance, they are somewhat unnatural.
But namely, this combination colours and saturation conveys a mood of calm, peace and quiet. To see the beauty of the autumn forest in the time of Indian summer. Trees are changing their decoration. They are full of yellow red and orange lights. There’s a lot of green leaves, though.
It seems as if a talented wizard painted every tree, every leaflet. The shrubs burn up in a bright flame.
Their small leaves are flown on the autumn sun, which gives the earth the last warm rays. Here and there patches appear on the green carpet -the grass gradually becomes red and faded.
The first fallen leaves are already appearing under the trees. They cover the ground with a bright rustling carpet.
The entire autumn forest is illuminated by the rays of the sun. They light up all around, they are played with the thin cobwebs of the Indian summer and send last greetings to the weary earth.
